As a member of the Maine Osteopathic Association, you are given the opportunity to receive benefits and discounts from the association’s “Preferred Vendors”. Below, you will find brief descriptions of those services that only a dues paying member of the Maine Osteopathic Association can receive.
Practice Consultations
Offered free to members to assist with your coding, billing and all around Practice Issues to ensure optimum reimbursement and practical office information. The association provides two ways to get timely answers to members questions:
- For General Practice topics, Medicaid/Medicare PDL and PA concerns and Managed Care Concerns ~ use the MOA’s Payor/Payee Relations Committee ~ just email your Practice Issue question or concern, 24 hours a day/ 7 days to the MOA at info@mainedo.org or contact the MOA office at 207-623-1101 or by fax at 207-623-4228. Our Coding Expert and Chair of the MOA’s Payor/Payee Relations Committee, Doug Jorgensen, D.O. and/or staff will respond to your questions and concerns.

Discounted Fees to MOA CME Conferences
Provides reduced registration fees for all MOA members. Save 80-89% on registration fees at both the Mid-Winter Conference and Annual Convention, as well as save on additional educational programs throughout the year. Customized Medical Transcription Services
Northeast Transcription, Incorporated (NTI) is a privately owned and operated, full service national transcription company utilizing the latest in voice recording, retrieval, and communication technologies. NTI has been providing secure, timely transcription to physicians, specialty practices and hospitals since 1994. Currently, NTI serves over 1000 healthcare providers.
NTI offers customized services to meet MOA members’ needs and budgets, while ensuring quality transcription and responsive turn-around times. NTI recognizes that medical transcription requirements vary from record to record. In response, NTI has created a system that is configurable to meet MOA members' individual needs. MOA Annual Membership Directory & The “Maine D.O.” Newsletter
This comprehensive membership directory is an important resource that provides information for staff and for referral opportunities. Only members of the association are listed. The osteopathic physician database is also posted and updated on our website at www.mainedo.org to assist patients in locating an osteopathic physician in Maine. The “Maine D.O.” Newsletter is published quarterly to keep you up-to-date on state and national medical news. It also highlights Practice Issues 101 and other pertinent professional news.
MOA Website
The MOA’s website at www.mainedo.org, features a “MOA Members Only Area” designed to offer MOA members exclusive access to information that is both timely and vital to the osteopathic community. The site also features a public “Find a D.O.” section to assist patients in their search for a D.O. to meet their health needs. (only MOA members are listed) Go on-line to register for the MOA’s CME conferences, apply for membership, renew your dues on-line, access the Practice Issues 101 section, search past newsletter issues, access timely legislative news and information to assist you in your daily practice needs and so much more!
MOA E-News Brief
The weekly E-News Briefs are for MOA members only that have provided the association with their current email address. Timely issues affecting the osteopathic community, updates in the MaineCare Program, regulatory information and practice issues that affect you on a daily basis are at your fingertips on a weekly basis. You and your practice manager/staff will appreciate receiving this easy to read, quick E-news Brief. We encourage feedback/questions concerning issues that you need answers to through the E-News Brief. This New membership benefit is brought to you out of your need to receive information quickly, precisely and weekly.
