 The MOA's Professional and Public Education Committee reserves the right to adjust the program agenda and speakers as deemed necessary.
 

IMPORTANT POLICIES & DETAILS: 

  • COVID-19: MOA will be carefully monitoring COVID-19 Community Levels and all CDC guidelines for large gatherings to prevent transmission of COVID-19. Additional information will be provided as we get closer to this event.
  • Program Objectives: 

    1.  Apply osteopathic philosophy and principles in their practice of medicine
    2. Interpret practical and clinically relevant information. Each CME topic has its own set of learning objectives, which will be made available to registered attendees.

  • Hybrid Conference Details:  This conference will be held in person and online June 10-12th, 2022. A compatible device, reliable internet connection and a valid email address are necessary to participate. All other technological requirements will be made available prior to the event. Educational session may sometimes be pre-recorded, but interactive Q/A with faculty will be available during scheduled live playback unless otherwise indicated. All sessions will be recorded and made available until July 15th, 2022, unless otherwise indicated.

  • CME Accreditation Statements
    In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the American Osteopathic Association and the Maine Osteopathic Association. The American Osteopathic Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

    AMA Credit Designation Statement – Physicians
    The American Osteopathic Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 20.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

    AOA Credit Designation Statement --
    The Maine Osteopathic Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The Maine Osteopathic Association designates this program for a maximum of 20.5 AOA 1A CME credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity. 

    AAFP Credit  Designation Statement - The AAFP has reviewed MOA 111th Annual Convention and deemed it acceptable for up to 19.50 Live AAFP Prescribed credits. Term of Approval is from 06/10/2022 to 06/12/2022. As such, these credit must be earned live, so please make sure to fill out session evaluations to get this type of credit! Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

  • Please note the following session was not awarded AAFP CME credit: Understanding Your Fiscal Health Risk Factors & How to Avoid Them- Denied due to content not being relevant to the scope of family medicine and does not adhere to one of the following non-clinical topic requirements of having a direct bearing on the physician's ability to deliver patient care, assisting physicians in carrying out their professional responsibilities more effectively and efficiently, or directly supporting the profession of family medicine.

  • Faculty Disclosure: All faculty members participating in this program are expected to disclose any significant financial interest and/or other relationship that might be deemed a conflict of interest with the topic presented. These disclosures will be made available to attendees.

  • Cancellation/Refunds: If you must cancel, please notify the MOA in writing via email or mail. A $50 cancellation fee will be imposed. No refunds will be provided after May 15th, 2022.

  • Commercial Support: Commercial of this educational activity does not imply approval of or endorsement of any products by the accrediting organization or by the MOA. Portions of this activity may not be eligible for CME due to Commercial Support. The MOA is required to fully disclose this on all materials.

  • MOA Grievance Policy: All grievances should be initially directed in writing to the MOA Executive Director by email to [email protected] who will share them with the MOA's Program Committee. Grievances will receive a response within 30 days of receipts. If you do not receive a satisfactory response, you may notify the Council on Continuing Medical Education, AOA, 142 East Ontario St, Chicago, IL 60611.

Join us Friday, June 10th for a golf tournament fundraiser outside on the beautiful Samoset Resort putting green. Bring the kids for some family fun! Here are the details:

  • Timing: 2-3:30pm
  • Location: Samoset Golf Course
  • Entry: $20/putt with up to 5 putts per golfer, sign up at registration  
  • Rules: Closest to the pin wins the prize, if someone makes the putt there would be a putt-off to determine the winner
  • Prize: Round of golf at the Samoset + indoor putting green + MOA swag bundle ($300 total value!)
