FREE MOA Membership For Students, Residents and Interns 

The MOA is a resource to assist you on the path to becoming an Osteopathic Physician, but also one as you enter into practice, hopefully right here in Maine! Our D.O’s practice in many different specialties. MOA is an affiliate of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

During your training, your membership in the MOA is FREE!  We welcome YOU to get involved in all we have to offer.

Your MOA Membership Benefits include:

  • Access to timely information through the MOA’s website, weekly e-news briefs and legislative action alerts!

  • UNE COM students have a voice and a voting representative on the MOA Board of Directors via the Student Government President. Residents also have a Representative on the MOA Board.

The MOA is pleased to announce that the 2021 Research Forum is going virtual this year! Are you working on research that you would like to present to colleagues? This is the perfect opportunity to share your work with the Maine Osteopathic Community.
Our usual Research Forum held in conjunction with our Midwinter Symposium will look a bit different this year, but we hope you will be able to participate!

Here are the details for Residents/Interns/Fellows only (students use link above):

Categories: Original Research, Case Report or Literature Review.
Format: Please submit your abstracts according to the instructions below. Research Presentations will take the form of pre-recorded oral presentations (physical printing of poster or visual is not required). Details on presentations and judging will be shared following selection of abstracts. Please note that presentation videos will need to be made available to the MOA by Jan. 27th, 2021 at the latest.
"Live virtual" Presentation Dates/Times: Virtual Presentations will be made available for judges the week of February 1st. Presentations will be provided to Symposium attendees. All authors/presenters will be required to be available for live QA and awards presentations Friday, February 12th at 12:00pm-12:30pm (ET).
Prizes: The top ranking presentations in each category will receive Amazon Gift Card Prizes! (Award categories will be officially announced following selection of abstracts)
DEADLINE: Abstracts must be received by Friday, December 18th, 2020 at 11:59 PM (ET)
