A Hybrid Event
The MOA’s Annual Convention is a celebration of Maine’s rich osteopathic profession. Offering 20+ CME credits, it is one of the largest medical education events for physicians in New England and attendees represent a range of specialties from all over the state and country. The Convention also includes the opportunity for national leadership to convene with our Maine leaders, presentation of the MOA’s Annual Awards and special traditions like our 5k, entertainment offerings, MOA Kids Camp, etc.Offering a mix of In Person & Virtual Sessions with flexible viewing options!
Access to ALL content will be available for 30 days post-event for CME credit for all attendees.
Anticipated Convention Hours & Events*:
Thursday, June 4th: Pre-Conference Workshop "Botanical Medicine in Clinical Practice"
- A full day in person pre-conference CME program held in conjunction with the annual MOA June educational offering. Led by faculty presenters John Woytowicz, MD, Herbalist Deb Soule, and Barbara Moss, DO
- Course Description: This course reviews commonly used medicinal plants, including their common and Latin names, traditional uses, and evidence from the scientific literature. Participants will explore reliable clinical resources and engage in a panel discussion on herbal approaches to common conditions such as gastrointestinal concerns, menopause, and anxiety.
- $400 Additional Pre-Conference workshop | 4-5 CMEs | Includes lunch & afternoon educational tour of Avena Botanical Gardens in Rockport

Friday, June 5th: Live CME with specialty tracks, Exhibit Hall, Opening Reception
- 8:00AM-5:30PM — CME Sessions
- Afternoon Tracks Include: Emergency Medicine Track & OBGYN Content provided in partnership with ME ACOG
- 6:00-7:00PM — UNE COM Opening Reception by the pool – join us for apps, drinks & lawn games! Open to all conference attendees & guests

Format:
Content will be presented in a hybrid format, with opportunity to watch sessions live in person, or gain access to content recordings with full CME for 30 days post-event.
CME ACCREDITATION:
AOA: The Maine Osteopathic Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The Maine Osteopathic Association designates this program for a minimum of 20 AOA Category 1-A credits (final credit determination pending) and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extend of the physician’s participation in this activity.

Cancellation/Refunds: If you must cancel, please notify the MOA in writing. A $50 cancellation fee applies if canceling on or after May 15, 2026. No refunds will be provided after this date.
